Answer to Prayer
Yahweh, I praise and thank You through the Holy Spirit and Your Son Jesus Christ that the national Church is emerging as a vehicle for witness and service. National missionaries and agencies are on the increase, and indigenous-led ministries are springing up. Bible translation work in mother tongues and literacy in the churches are progressing as well.

Exodus 12:1-28; Luke 9:1-6

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Challenges for Prayer
Evangelicals are a small minority, and a high proportion of them are foreigners (although almost all congregations have at least some indigenes). In the 23 evangelical churches, worship is conducted in nine different languages, and only a minority have full-time pastors. Jesus Christ, more Bible teaching is needed, more Christ-centered churches and more workers to labour in these churches.

Exodus 11; Luke 8:40-56

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Faeroe Islands
Challenges for Prayer
The Faeroe Islands send a proportionately large number of missionaries – around 100 in more than 20 countries; I pray that this may continue. Jesus Christ, I pray for the Holy Spirit to continue impacting the Church in the Faeroe Islands; and pray that Christians will be wise in engaging the postmodern and secular attitudes that increasingly challenge the primacy of the Bible and Christian tradition.

Exodus 10; Luke 8:26-39

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
